(going cross-eyed looking at the candle)Last week we were in Columbia, MO visiting Mark and Esther and helping them move in! We had such a great trip and the time spent with them is always so wonderful. The kids love each other so much and it makes me once again thankful that my kids get to grow up and be close in age to there cousins. Hannah is in love with Izzy and Izzy is in love with James. Hannah could spend the day just looking at Iz and saying her name. And Iz could spend the day just watching James and squealing every time he even looks at her.
Unfortunately the night before we left, poor Izzy came down with the flu. Her first real bug and she of course is sick when we are travelling. All of that included many a diaper change and lots of puking on planes, in airports, in cars and wherever else. I felt so bad for her! Her personality was just sucked right out of her and she was so lethargic. She finally is starting to feel better now and i am so thankful. It was a rough few days but so glad that she's past it now, just in time for her first birthday!!
This year has brought so much change, in a good way. Our little baby isn't much of a baby anymore. She is such a happy little thing and brings so much joy to everyone she meets. Whether it's the people at the grocery store who she constantly waves at or the neighbors behind us on the airplane who she plays peek-a-boo with. I feel so lucky to even know this child let alone be her mom. I love the changes this year has brought and I am so looking forward to what the next years will bring. God has richly blessed us and we are forever grateful!
