Yep, we've moved to 'Stralia as Izzy calls it and we love it! It's been just under 3 months since we said our goodbyes and took the plunge to move down under and yes, sadly I am just doing our first blog post now. For the most part, things have been great getting settled and everything organized but there was a few glitches we had to work out which took longer than we thought.
But alas, everything is sorted now and we LOVE this city!!
There is just so much to do all the the time in this city. Almost every Saturday night they have fireworks at Darling Harbour downtown and we can see them from our back patio. It's so fun! Izzy is always begging for "more fire":) We went to a light show at the opera house a couple weeks ago where they had the opera house covered in multi colours and designs. It was very cool. Along with that they had other light show areas around Circular Quay which Iz loved!
We moved into a complex in a suburb just a few km's from the city called Balmain, and it's perfect for us for. We have a shared pool and gym and a nice sized back patio at our place, not to mention a knock out view of the city. When we moved in, our neighbours directly next door came and introduced themselves and they have a 3 yr old daughter (who Izzy adores and vice versa) and they go to the church that we go to. It has been so wonderful and such a blessing meeting them and having them so close. That being said, we have enjoyed exploring our new city but we've also been able to head outside of the city. We packed up the car and drove 3 hours south to Jervis Bay for the weekend with our new found friends! We had such a great weekend whale watching (some more than others, due to weak stomachs) discovering gorgeous, white sandy beaches, fishing (for the boys) and just enjoying hanging out. There was a little bay area right by the playground where there were some people paddle boarding and there was about 3 or 4 dolphins that kept coming up and almost playing around with them. It made for some great viewing for us pretty close up.
I've got about 4 weeks left of cooking for this little babe (hopefully not quite that long) and we are anxiously awaiting her arrival. It's a lot more exciting for us this time because we know what we're getting ourselves into and how much LOVE we can't wait to pour out onto this little life.

My cousin Andrea and her family are coming to the end of one year living in Brisbane. We are heading up there tomorrow to visit them one last time before they move on Wednesday back home to Canada. I'm getting depressed just thinking about it. I think they would agree with us when I say that we've cherished just this little bit of time that we've had them in this proximity and in this new country! Izzy has loved getting to know them and I have absolutely loved having my family close. Andrea is like a sister to me and when she complains about being tired after i've forced her to stay up until 1 in the morning chatting, I tell her she can sleep when she gets home! They are such a wonderful family and we will miss them so much but are very thankful for the time we have had.

Can't wait to give you an update on our newest addition! We've got Adam's mom coming in a couple weeks and my sister Esther coming shortly after that. We are very excited to have our families coming into town to show off our new digs/city and our family of 4! Hope you all are well!
